Accessibility Policy

This policy outlines the commitment to ensuring The National Chef of the Year and Young National Chef of the Year competition is accessible to all participants, judges, and attendees, regardless of physical, sensory, cognitive, or other disabilities. The goal is to create an inclusive environment that allows everyone to participate fully and equitably.


1. Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to: 

  • Provide equal opportunities for individuals regardless of physical, sensory, cognitive, or other disabilities to compete, judge, or attend.
  • Remove barriers to participation by implementing reasonable accommodations. 
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive environment for all participants.

2. Scope

This policy applies to all aspects of The National Chef of the Year and Young National Chef of the Year competition, including registration, competition activities, judging, audience participation, and related events.


3. Accessibility Commitments

  • Offer additional support as appropriate on request with the event organisers.
3.3. Participation Accommodations 
  • Allow participants to request reasonable accommodations in which the organisers will aim to meet with their best endeavour’s.

4. Feedback and Continuous Improvement 

Feedback on the accessibility of The National Chef of the Year and Young National Chef of the Year competition is encouraged to identify and address potential barriers. 

Organisers will review accessibility measures regularly and incorporate improvements based on participant and attendee feedback.
